Silliness is…

Published by iwema under General Information

….my entire family.  We LOVE to laugh and are constantly telling jokes, pulling pranks, or being sarcastic.  Now that my sister has children most of the silliness is focused on the “little ones”.  I have two adorable nieces and a precious new nephew.  Dancing around...We enjoy trying to make the little guy laugh by dressing up, making funny faces, dancing etc.  I am constantly being silly around my family but typically end up being the one behind the camera.  Although it wouldn’t be a surprise to see me dressed up in a wig, sunglasses, dancing, and singing off tuneJust being silly

you won’t see me in these pictures…All smiles.maybe I do that on purpose :)  Happy Hunting!

A Proud Mrs. Iwema

Published by iwema under General Information

My dad recently had the opportunity to share some of his experiences on StoryCorps, a broadcast on National Public Radio (NPR).  In this segment, he describes how he found hope while recovering from a motorcycle accident he was involved in 7 years ago. Listen and enjoy….and, as always, GO CALVIN!!!!!

Jewelry Making

Published by iwema under scavenger hunt and tagged: , ,

Hello Georgetown Students!  For those of you on a blog scavenger hunt, you’re in the right place :)  Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  My name is Mrs. Iwema and I enjoy a wide variety of activities.  I love being active and especially enjoy making things.  A few years ago, while teaching a middle school exploratory, I found a new hobby.  I was teaching a beading class and discovered it was something I really enjoyed doing.  I have been making beaded jewelry ever since.  One thing I appreciate about making my own jewelry is that it is often less expensive than buying it at the store.  I enjoy having the freedom to try new designs and different patterns.  Although I don’t have a lot of free-time, I typically have at-least one jewelry project going. Most of the jewelry that I make is given away to family and friends.  They enjoy wearing it and I enjoy making it.  It’s a WIN-WIN situation :)  Thanks for reading, and good luck on the rest of your scavenger huntMrs. Iwema working on a necklace!
